Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 June 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Transcribe (the “Service”). By submitting a transcription job, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
The Service
Transcribe converts audio and video you submit into a text transcript and an AI-generated summary, and makes the result available on a page with a shareable link. The Service is provided free of charge. Some features, such as YouTube ingestion, may be offered in preview and can change or be removed at any time.
Acceptable use
You agree that you will not use the Service to:
- submit content you do not have the right to upload, transcribe, or process, including content that infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights;
- submit unlawful, harmful, or abusive content;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure; or
- exceed the stated limits, such as the 100 MB per-file size limit.
Your content
You retain all rights to the media you submit and to the transcripts and summaries generated from it. You grant us a limited licence to process your content solely to provide the Service. You are responsible for the content you submit and for complying with all applicable laws and any third-party rights.
Availability and deletion
Uploaded media and generated transcripts are automatically deleted 24 hours after processing, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not guarantee that the Service will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free, and we may modify or discontinue it at any time.
AI-generated output
Transcripts and summaries are generated automatically and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. They are provided for convenience only and should not be relied upon as a complete or accurate record. You are responsible for reviewing the output before relying on it.
Disclaimer and liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the member state in which the operator of the Service is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence are unaffected.
